Job ✒ Child Protection Specialist @ Plan Bangladesh

Child Protection Specialist, MCA Project Based in Dhaka + consolidated monthly salary Tk. 62,562.00 – 75,000.00
The project:
Missing Child Alert (MCA), a sub-regional program of Plan Bangladesh, Plan India, Plan Nepal and Plan Asia Regional Office supported by Plan in Nederland funded by National Postcode Lottery, Nederland. This is a three years pilot project started in January 2012 and in Bangladesh being implemented in the districts of Jessore and Satkhira.
The overall objective is to develop and demonstrate a technology based alert system in Bangladesh linked with India and Nepal to trace and rescue missing children and to bring a range of state and non state actors to generate commitment for MCA system and create a conducive legal environment for a collective approach to reduce child trafficking. The project focuses on tracing and rescuing trafficked children and women and links prevention, protection, rehabilitation, lobby and advocacy efforts to ensure an effective and efficient approach to reduce child trafficking.
The position - major responsibilities and requirements:
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will prepare annual advocacy plan and initiate/coordinate its implementation according to project objectives, budget and implementation plan at the national and local level. You will manage Project Outline (PO) for Missing Child Alert project of Plan and will provide support in operation of MCA activities at the national level engaging government and non-governmental stakeholders. You also will coordinate field level implementation, monitoring and reporting on implementation of activities and feed this in to the donor reporting. Provide support in networking, media communication and organizing national level events of MCA that support national level exposure of the MCA project. You also will ensure proper documentation of MCA Project implementation in Bangladesh to meet Plan’s corporate and donor compliances.
For this role you should have a Masters degree preferably in Social Science or Mass Communication or in any other relevant discipline with minimum five years’ experience of which 3 years in similar position in reputed National or International development organization. Proficiency in English language, computing in Word, Excel and Email operation are essential requirements for this position. You must be an excellent team player with the ability to work under pressure. This job requires 40% travel to project areas, relevant offices and partner organizations
