The Asia Foundation Position Vacancy - Senior Program Officer The Asia Foundation is implementing a program focused on resolving policy and regulatory constraints to economic development in Bangladesh. The Main objective of this program is to address specific policy and regulatory barriers to private sector growth. The program approach will be result oriented and will require a collaborative action in partnership with research associations, NGOs and the Government. We are looking for a Senior Program Officer primarily to work on this program and other activities of the economic development program. Key Requirements: The candidates should have at least 7 years experience working with the government/reputed international NGO/international development agency with sound understanding of policy advocacy, regulatory constraints to economic development, regulatory reforms process, better business climate, economic development and growth. Strong analytical aptitude and result oriented commitment with capability of networking, identifying prospective socio-economic challenges, policy regulatory constraints and respective knowledge leaders, better judgments and working under minimum supervision; Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, business administration, international relations, law, public administration or related social science field is preferred;  The candidate should have good interpersonal, management, and coordination skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla is essential for the job. The Senior Program Officer will work to strengthen and maintain the excellent reputation and credibility of the Asia Foundation’s Economic Development work and overall programs through regular interaction with public and private donors, the business associations, research institutions, and partner organizations.
