UChicago Research Bangladesh (URB) Software Developer UChicago Research Bangladesh (URB) is a research affiliate of the University of Chicago. The main objective is to improve equity in health, reduce risk and determine determinants for health and its appropriate interventions. URB is conducting public health and biomedical research in Bangladesh using state-of-the-art population, clinical, and molecular laboratories. Research is primarily focused on reducing environmental risk factors causing significant public health problems that the people of Bangladesh faces and translate knowledge into policy and practice. Position Summary URB invites application from the suitable candidates for the position of Software Developer with Fixed Term contract for its Dhaka Office. Responsibilities Includes – Work closely with Chief Technical Officer and other members of the Development Team to both develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Attend client meetings during development process. Determine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations. Alert colleagues to emerging technologies or applications and the opportunities to integrate them into operations and activities. Develop innovative, reusable Web-based tools for activism and community building. Specific Requirements Develop Desktop and web application using ASP.Net, C#, Ajax, SQL Server & Crystal Report Good understanding of WPF, WCF,  web service and UML Strong knowledge on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery Candidate must have excellent analytical and problem solving skill. Education and experience Bachelor of Computer science / Engineering degree from reputed University (In case of exceptional relevant experience academic qualification may be relaxed). 2 years minimum Web programming experience Compensation and benefits : Annual gross BDT 420,000-754,260 plus benefits as per URB HR policy Excellent interpersonal communication skill with co-worker; English writing and verbal communication skills are required; preference is given to candidates with local Bangladesh language and cultural awareness.
